Thanks for all of you who showed up this past Thursday for the 2005 FVMBA AGM. There was decent conversation about the trail system on Ledgeview and attendees heard the low down on exciting administrative topics like bank account balances, active members (about 100), and sponsorship plans.
Additionally, there are a number of new members to the FVMBA Executive. Gary received the support from everybody present and continues for another year as the FVMBA President while Gerald, an area rep for Vedder Mountain, stepped in and took responsibility for the books during the coming year. Other changes to the executive will be posted shortly, but expect to see new faces from most areas under the FVMBA umbrella.

This year’s Annual General Meeting is being held at 7:00pm on Thursday, 17 November 2005 at the Abbotsford Agrifair Arena. We encourage all of our returning members to show up for a discussion about the mountain bike trail network across the Fraser Valley and, in particular, the trails at Ledgeview, on Sumas Mountain, on Vedder Mountain, at the Woodlot in Maple Ridge, and in Mission.
Additionally, the AGM is the place where you can volunteer for a position on the FVMBA Executive (or vote for your favourite candidate). For 2006, we're in need of a Treasurer and a Coordinator so, if you're interested (or know someone who is interested) and able, don't hesitate to let your feelings known next Thursday.
For those of you who haven't yet received the 2005 FVMBA newsletter, you can download it here (.pdf format).
