Will there be another Bear Mountain Challenge? Will there be a Bear Mountian race at all?
Come help decide and organize such an event.
Meet:
6:00pm January 17, 2006 (Wednesday)
33245 N. Railway Ave. Mission
Bruce (of Wentings) is quite keen on getting this rolling, and there’s alot to do, so come on out to discuss the future of MTB racing on Bear Mountain.
Please bring along any event ideas and any friends, enemies or relations who would like to be involved. Bruce would like to divide up the responsibilities surrounding the event, and decide on a date.
We should be able to rip through a reasonable agenda in an hour.
Thanks for your support - Don’t let racing on Bear Mountain die!!

January 16th - this saturday.
The last big rain did some damage (again) to the last bridge onLostOakleys. We’re going to repair it this Saturday 10:00am. We could really use a few extra helping hands.
Meet at the LostOakleys Exit 10:00am (MTB time)
Thanks.

FVMBA received an email today from the individual managing operations on Sumas.
Summarized:
-Road construction and blasting will be starting again on January 03, 2007.
-Work will only take place weekdays from 7:00 Am to 4:30 Pm
-Logging will not start for another couple of months but I will be informed ahead of time when it starts
So - Please - Say off the mountain during those hours. We may not like the destruction, but these guys are working (somewhat) with us, and we need to not get in their way. Besides - nobody likes to be hit with flying rock, so be safe.
