<description>Well another AGM comes and goes.
Thanks to all the directors who continue to work for all of us. Greg Rector is the new Vice President,a great choice. Steve Rossett continues as secretary
We ended the year with money in the bank and a whole list of accomplishments.
$1000.oo IMBA grant for signage on city land on Ledgeview.
MOtsa grant which we used for GIS mapping of Sumas and approx. $1500 in supplies.
partnership with FVRD over maintenance and care by fvmba on KnobGobbler .
As well fvrd paid for supplies for bridging to upgrade and repair KnobGobbler bridging.
Movie Premiers /New website /
Sardis---Westside Dirt Jump area continues to grow with this years big news was the 51 concrete block new starting hill.
(BIG THANK YOU TO MIKE BOUGHART AND LAFARGE )
Rob Friesen is the new FVMBA dirt director of Westside, thanks Rob.
New treasurer (Maria Dyment yaaah!! ) taking over from Tom Mackesy (who is now one of the directors for abby with Trevor Ostendorf the other.
Maria is the volunteer co-ordinator again for the BEAR MTN CHALLENGE July 19/20/08
,so if you'd like to be on the race committee or just to volunteer, contact Maria.
We gave Pink Bikes "Bikes for kids" $250 this winter
and will be sending $250 to Kamloops to aid them in rebuilding . As well spent $390.00 on Westside DJ area for a safety railing.
This was from the profits of Bear mtn Challenge.
In supplies we went through something like 20/ 50Lb boxs of galvanized spiral spikes, a lot of shovels /pulaski's/ huge amount of hours working on the trails.
We had something like eight official trail days and all our trails show the "love" from the efforts.
Look to exciting news as we continue the steps towards "legalization of our trail networks".
This is a great time to show your support , become a member of fvmba , or renew your membership. Larger membership gives us a louder voice ,it also shows support for the work we continue ,for the betterment of all riders.
