TimeKiller looks like a 4wheel drive has driven up the TK through the slash/trail via a lower access road.
I have cleaned up a lot of the damage ,but the upper section (looking at the cliff face in the clearcut) this corner was completely wiped out, careful going through this section.
Looks like the 4wheeler was armed with a chainsaw and winch, and could of been trying to get to chadsey lake.
Sumas seems to be getting more than it's share of motorcycles/4wheeldrives/quads lately.
On the roads and back roads is one thing, destroying our trails and everything in their paths is another.

Big ride on Little Sumas yesterday, from McKee Point summit to Straiton. Awesome day, despite the leaves! Kudos to those who have done the water mitigation work on the Steeeep section of the Lost Oakley. Well done! Also, I'm loving the new roll-down ramp on Pedal 2 Da Metal. The more options for all riders the better!

TKiller hiked up with a shovel, rivers in places, but this is a good time to see what has worked and not ,re water control.
One tree down and not a safety hazard as it is below the big rock drop to berm section.

Dthroat --- a river runs through it.

The rains are here big time.
If it continues raining,
RIDING either TK or DT will be very tough on these trails .

TimeOut exit, (bakstad rd ) is muddy midpoint ,
exit out has been cleared .
we wait to see how the development's footprint looks like so we can know where to put the trail.

The memories of warm rides and hot days is quickly fading from memory.
BUT,
INDOOR opens tonight ,with next and every tuesday being mtn bike 4X.

Always lots of cheap bikes to buy and sell at the indoor.

Rode Knob Gobbler this past weekend - I've never seen it so nice. Was dry yet sticky. Going to try Timekiller once the weather clears up a bit. Also rode Exclerator on Ledgeview yesterday (in the rain - booooo). Hats off to those that have been working on it. The first section with all the roller coasters below the sandstone caves is incredible. I didn't touch my brakes for a looong time.

And Gary - you're right about the shovel work on Lost Oakley. It's pretty bad, and is ruining what was once one of my favourite backyard rides. As well, someone has been digging on the back side of Ledgeview - just above the waterfall. Came around a corner and my front wheel slammed into a fresh crater. Thanks, whoever decided that the trail needed yet another jump. Sheesh.

Hi Bruce,

At the exit to KG, where you park, there is a double-track access road that heads south. Follow that road up the hill for approximately 150m and you will see the entrance to Holiday Sauce. At the end of Holiday Sauce is Emma Peel, you can't miss it. Have fun, it's an awesome, natural, XC trail.

TimeKiller cabin , you can now go from the cabin S.E down to the entrance of DevilsThroat.
Myself ,I still prefer to go the old route and at the clearcut just past the new55ft. bridge, go L. at this junction and onto the access road up a couple of hundred feet to DT entrance,a lot more riding.
KnobGobbler has never been better, clear, flowy and sooo fun.
Holiday sauce has seen some new work as has Extra Sauce ,and the Emma Peel is clear and totally fun.
NoahFear entrance logride, the ladder exit off this and the old laddered drop will be redone, best to just stay off for now, NF is in great shape as well.
All trails on Big Sumas stellar, look to some new mapping as lots of changes in the last couple of years ,have made some trails like the RokDiva?? wiped out, as well as Logarythms(gone)
to better reflect the trails.
From the locked gate halfway, you now have four choices .
ChadseyLake -steep -bigbike (best from top down, warning it's a bit of a maze)
TimeKiller - bigbike freeride
Knobgobbler -top trail -xc/freeride exits at locked gate
HolidaySauce/extraSauce/prePeel/EmmaPeel-- xc -though I ride it with my big bike.
Riding my pigbike up to the entrance of the Knob and down is still worth the climb, like Chadsey, lots of work, but the payback worth it.

Hi I just wanted to pass along so information from the district of mission municipal forest.

We are currently conducting a Recreation Opportnities Feasibility Study with Lees + Associates Landscape Architects and Planners. The study area includes the forest lands on the west side of Stave Lake. This area currently has some challenges related to unregulated recreational use and vandalism. Our 'Vision' is to create a comprehensive forest recreation plan for the safe use and enjoyment of the public and families. Potential forest recreation activities could include camping, hiking, fishing, mountain biking, ATV-ing and other outdoor adventure activities, based on a user-pay system. We invite you to offer comments and ideas at an upcoming open house.

TimeOut exit has a 100 plus feet of the exit wiped out this weekend.
We just got off our bikes and walked through it to continue to waterfalls.
TimeKiller rebuild has been mostly all done , as I rode through it without getting off the bike.
All trails on Sumas are in excellent shape.
G
Lost Oalkley Clayburn area
This trail has seen some unwanted shovel work. (lots of garbage left???waterbottles all over)
The trial has always been kept up and we are now reworking the dj line to be longer with flow.
Please NO unauthorized alterations .
