Sumas - Time Killer Trail Day - Mar 29

Time Killer is being re-born.

The logging that took place on Sumas recently wiped out the Freeway Bob section of TimeKiller. Over the past few weeks, we’ve done alot of work putting the trail back in and now that the trail’s been generally cleared of debris, alot more effort is needed to make it ridable. We need you!

Come on out this weekend for a quick and dirty trail day.

Lots of work got done this weekend .
Thanks to Ryan,Paul, Steve,Kim,Trev and I.
The Tom had a flu bug or he would of been here as well.
We continue to clear and I redid some lines through the logging.
First of two bridges framed in 53 foot long ,looking sweet.
Road up is the pits and riding wise,
it’s starting to look like it will be May.
Still snowing up high, and TK is not worth riding.
Weather is lousy,so good time to come on out and help?
Every sat. TK.(your invited to come out and help)
We have been firing up the barbie, hot dogs, and taco chips, real health foods….

A Rogue trail has appeared on Sumas.
This trail is in direct conflict of fvmba’s MOU with the woodlot #45 owner.
“fvmba will not build unauthorized trails without permission”
Please do not ride this trail, tell the builder he is no hero, this has made the woodlot owner feel we have went against our word . (when found by the owner he claimed it was a fvmba approved trail, UNTRUE)
We all want more and better trails, this is not the way to get it.

If what your asking is
is it ok to ride the mtn bike trails like TK and others on a dirt bike on Sumas ok ?

NO!

These trails are designed and maintained for cyclists and hikers.

Work continues on TimeKiller logging section.

If you rode your dirt bike on mountain bike trails…I’d think you were a jerk. What takes us months to build you can destroy in seconds with your dirt bike. We’ve got enough work to do up there keeping our trails in good shape without you adding to the problem. Thanks.

Much of what we refer to as ‘Big Sumas’ is actually a FVRD Regional Park, so no motors are allowed in any case. If I see you within the park zone with your motorbike, I will be placing a call to the police, whereupon your motorbike will be seized and you will be stuck with a hefty fine.
