Annual General Meeting March 5, 2022 at 4:30 pm

FVMBA’s Annual General Meeting on Saturday, March 5, 2022

Time: 4:30 pm (doors open at 4 pm)

Format: Hybrid

  1. In-person (must show vaccination passport and second piece of ID) at Matsqui Centennial Auditorium, 32315 South Fraser Way 1st floor, Abbotsford, BC V2T 1W7; with a Social afterwards at Trading Post Eatery (upstairs in the game room), 3058 Gladwin Rd, Abbotsford, BC V2T 0H5;
  2. Online via Zoom: Register in advance for this AGM here. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.

FVMBA will follow all public health guidelines.

A reminder that you must have a current FVMBA Membership to vote in the Board of Directors elections. Head over and get your membership here.

Board Seat Opening

The FVMBA Board of Directors are elected annually at the Annual General Meeting. The Board of Directors consists of 11 volunteer FVMBA members who represent the community and work hard to foster trail stewardship and build community. The Board of Directors provides strategic leadership to ensure that the organization achieves the mission of the member community.

We have a board seat opening-up in Mission this year. Many of our current board members will be standing for re-election, leaving one seat to fill. We are searching for a new Board Member who can help us with:

  • Leadership in the Mission area – a Director who has a desire to lead our efforts in Mission.

The following Directors will be standing for re-election:

Dave Pinton, Vice President
Hamish Baird, Chilliwack Area Director
Sean Smith, Abbotsford Area Director
Lee Hughes, Maple Ridge Area Director

  • Trail runner

2. Adam Sippel, Kinesiologist and business owner of Innovative Fitness, Walnut Grove

  • Served on five other Boards since 2012
  • Mountain biker
  • Skilled in local trail geography and mapping

3. Jason Scott, RMT (Registered Mountain bike Therapist), Walnut Grove

  • Volunteered professional services to the local sports community and professional sports teams
  • Mountain biker
  • Documents trails with video for Trailforks and YouTube, as a guide for locals and visitors to preview
