A big thank you to all who participated in our 2023 Trail Trimming Challenge! 18 awesome volunteers helped clear back the brambles on 30 trail sections at Woodlot, Red, Bear, Sumas, and Vedder. The winners of the draw for the three prize packs of an FVMBA ball cap & travel mug are Opal B, Mike A, & Camron F.

This year’s challenge was a little extra challenging with high fire risk limiting use of motorized trimmers and the potential hazard of encountering wasp’s nests. We’re grateful to all who help keep the greenery at bay, not just during the trimming challenge, but all throughout the growing season. It’s important to keep sight lines clear and keeping the blackberries and stinging nettle from overflowing onto the trail – you are all trail heroes, thank you!
