We did it – we #savedsumas.  The ‘we’ in this equation are the collective trail users and all stakeholders that expressed their opposition to the gravel mine that threatened (in our view) to close the entire mountain.  So, what to do next – CELEBRATE!

The “we” are hosting an event Monday April 16th from 7:30 to 9:30pm at Field House Brewing in Abbotsford.  This is a special opening for our SaveSumas Coalition and the team have confirmed the following details:

— special opening for our celebration
— open from 7:30-9:30
— $5 beers
— you can bring your own snack food!  The beer will flow but the kitchen is closed.
— capacity is 30 inside and 75 under the covered patio with heaters. Dress warmly if you end up outside.
— remarks from some of those involved will be brief and will start around 8:00pm
