Norco

Adopted Trail: Superbear | Bear Mountain, Mission

Norco bikes have been a part of the lives of generations of Canadians. Founded in 1964, Norco manufactures the bicycles that biking enthusiasts choose time and again. What began decades ago and operated out of a converted chicken coop has since grown successfully, and by 2014 Norco produced over 125 models that are shipped worldwide. Norco was one of the first to produce a 10 speed bicycle, helped initiate the popularity of BMX cycling, and adapted with the times by being a leader in the electric era of bicycles.

Part of the reason for Norco’s success is that ingrained in each bicycle and product they product is the belief that nature is to be enjoyed and celebrated, “Every Norco bike is inspired by British Columbia’s supernatural landscape and is created by putting everything they have into creating the best bikes for the riding they love.” Although having a well-built, high-quality bike is key, Norco understands its nature that is truly the canvas for their artwork. This canvas being the splendid biking trails dotted around our beautiful communities. Thanks to local trails, biking and outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy the full capabilities of the bikes they ride. Whether that is through mountain biking, BMX riding, e-biking, or simply getting us to take in the beauty of B.C.

This understanding of the vitality of our local trails has inspired Norco to partner with the FVMBA, as a sponsor of Super Bear on Bear Mountain, in Mission. The funds donated go to support trail crew to keep the trail in optimal form for all outdoor enthusiasts.
