We’re still in the process of recovering and repairing damage from earlier storms, and we thank you for your patience as FVMBA volunteer builders continue their work on the trails – there really is no end to trail maintenance! The recent snow on some trails has also slowed progress.

A few highlights from the past month…

The bridge at the exit of Dilemma has been replaced, a big thank you to the Cultus Lake Park Board and BC Parks! They are also doing some additional machine work done on Parmenter Rd so please use caution and obey equipment operators if you encounter ongoing work.

The “problem” on Kerry’d Away was damaged again in the subsequent heavy rains. The culvert and trail washed out and the trail foundation was undermined by a loss of material. The culvert has been reinstalled but we urge all users to be cautious in this area and to avoid during and after heavy rains as there is a high probability it may wash out again. We are looking into long term solutions.

Kerry’d Away also got a few other other tune-ups post storm.

Over at Sumas, work to repair damage to World Cup has begun. There’s still lots of work to be done, in particular the entrance to World Cup saw significant erosion. We recommend selecting a different trail or riding with caution until it is repaired.
