Adopted Trail: Femur | Vedder Mountain, Chilliwack

The next time you’re ripping down Femur on Vedder Mountain, give a nod of thanks to WeatherPro Exteriors for adopting this classic flow trail – one of the fastest on the mountain. The local siding and construction company has adopted Femur as part of the FVMBA’s Adopt-a-Trail program.

“We decided that it’s important to give something back in support of an organization that does so much to maintain the mountains we love,” said Chris Harder, Media and Marketing Manager at WeatherPro Exteriors. “We value what the FVMBA does to maintain and advocate for good trail usage.”

WeatherPro specializes in exterior renovations and cladding new homes across the Fraser Valley. Most of their employees are active hikers or mountain bikers who are passionate about the trail networks. Working primarily between Hope and Langley, the WeatherPro team rides or hikes the local trail systems including Tamihi, Sumas, and Vedder.

“I personally love the diversity of all our local trail systems from ease of access to trail layout—it’s been amazing connecting further into our amazing riding community!” says Chris. “While the construction trade isn’t always the most environmentally friendly, we’re taking any steps we can to improve our impact on the world around us, and part of that is investing in our local mountains through the FVMBA!”

If you would like to support this local business and are looking to update the exterior of your home; or if you are a contractor building custom or spec houses WeatherPro Exteriors would love to partner with you on your construction project.
