We’re excited to welcome our summer trail crew, Tiara, Phoenix, and Cam, working under the guidance of Trail Crew Lead Noah, and Operations Manager Penny. The very wet start did not dampen their spirits and they have been busy on a variety of projects from digging ditches and drains, patching up dirt work, lots and lots of brushing, and getting their first introduction to woodwork. It’s been a very busy month with so much accomplished. This wouldn’t be possible without the support of your membership dollars. If you haven’t renewed yet, now is the time – get your membership here.

Crew’s very first day was an introduction to water management – clearing drains and digging ditches on Electric Lettuce at Vedder.

All the rain meant it was the perfect time for dirt work on Time Killer. The lower clear cut took some damage from the winter rains and it was time to upgrade the drainage.

While working on Time Killer, crew also repaired some of the eroded sections & rebuilt the landing for the rock drop just above the clear cut.

After all this hard work at Sumas, crew headed to Vedder for a few projects, first replacing a rotten skinny on Electric Lettuce.

Next up was modifying the exit to a bridge on Ditch Chicken.

Crew also joined up with Graham and a few other dedicated volunteers to rebuild the cheese wedge jump on Skidder just in time for the Canadian Enduro. A big thank you to Graham for all of the hard work he and many other volunteers have been putting into the Vedder trails this year!

We have lots more projects planned for the summer, stay tuned for the updates & see you on the trails.
